Conductive inks standards

Electronics Forum | Tue Sep 28 17:20:14 EDT 2004 | davef

We're aware of no such standard. Check with ink suppliers [eg, Conductive Compounds, Coats Circuit Products, Creative Materials, etc] to confirm.

Conductive filled Vias on BGA

Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 30 12:44:54 EST 2005 | ppwlee

Dave, Do you know if such thermal transfer study with CB-100 (or equivalent) is available for review? My customer is pursuing this option and I am curious on how much improvement I would see by specifying a conductive via fill on the board. Rgds, P

electrically conductive adhesives

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 24 08:29:01 EST 2005 | davef

We have done some work with conductive adhesives. The main lesson is: They do not adhere well to solder. * For components, a silver-palladium or gold end termination is recommended. * For substrates, gold over nickel should work well.

What's The Dealy-O With Smocks?

Electronics Forum | Fri Dec 16 09:43:46 EST 2005 | Steve

As you move, your clothing is rubbing against your body causing static to build up in the material. Since the material is a poor conductor, not all of the charge gets conducted through your skin to the heel straps. The smock is designed to prevent th

Conformal Coat Thermal Conductivity

Conformal Coat Thermal Conductivity

Electronics Forum | Thu Apr 19 14:00:28 EDT 2007 | cecil

Dave, When we converted the Humiseal thermal conductivity info into W/m-*C we came up with .167 - .209. Did we do somthing wrong with our conversion?

Cracked Capacitors

Electronics Forum | Wed Oct 31 21:52:10 EDT 2007 | davef

We wouldn't expect the ceramic of the capacitor to conduct very much heat. [We're surprised how high the thermal conductivity of Al2O3 is: (30W/m-C).] Can we assume that you're talking about parts that are defective at incoming inspection?

Ecofree 303 conductive and corrosive?

Electronics Forum | Sun Aug 23 22:13:45 EDT 2009 | joannetjy

Hi All, Recently, I need to deal with a customer complaint that specify the PCBA white residue (flux residue from ecofree 303) may be the reason why the board intermittent. Anyone have such experience with this flux? Anyone can tell me is this flux

Non-conductive epoxy discoloration

Electronics Forum | Thu Feb 26 21:35:21 EST 2015 | flyingsnow

Hi, has anyone experienced discoloration of cured non-conductive epoxy? It turned from white to deep red. The parts were returned from customer and we noticed the color change and wondered what could cause epoxy discoloration.Thank you!

Curious PCB technology

Electronics Forum | Thu Jan 30 17:29:30 EST 2020 | stephendo

Even if it is no where near the pumps it is probably certified explosion proof. Could they have had aluminum sheets, painted them, cured them, stenciled conductive traces, cured it, stenciled conductive adhesive, populated parts, cured it then singu
