Grease filters work well. They're cheap, easy to clean and come in all sizes. Will not reduce your air flow by much either.

I just purchased a soldering station and it came with the silicone grease for the desoldering gun and say's for cleaning spring filter and filter pipe, now do I just smooth this grease all over the spring and tube the spring goes in?

Can anyone recommend a top notch filter to remove oil from the compressed air lines. The filter will be placed before the machine. We have traps that catch .01 micron oil in the airline but it is still getting through to the machine. Thanks, Bob

Check your exhaust points and cooling zones. Cooling zones should have filters that need to be cleaned and it is most probably where your problem comes from. In front(if you have two exhaust pipes) you might need a filter change as well.
