1B73LOC Conformal Coating

Electronics Forum | Mon Jun 25 12:23:15 EDT 2007 | davef

Once the HumiSeal conformal coating has been applied to the printed circuit board it is usually best to allow the material to reach a touch-dry stage, before heating the board to accelerate the cure schedule. This avoids potential problems such as bu

conformal coating selection

Hello to all out there, We're considering CC process, and would like to know some defferences between SSC3 of Electrolube and Humiseal 1B73, yes,I know that SSC3 is silicone one,and Humiseal 1B73 is solvent based acrylic as well as other basic propert

Terry The SCC3 product is a vinyl modified silicone. It is less able to perform at low temps as it becomes brittle. It is not easy to repair because it is essentially silicone. It is not a qualified material to the MIL-I-46058 Spec. Are you sure yo

rubber masking boots for conformal coatings

Electronics Forum | Tue Nov 08 17:06:26 EST 2005 | Erik

A while ago I tried using rubber boots for masking but couldn't get them to work because the coating we use (Humiseal 1B73) is so thin it leaches under the rubber. If you can get them to work with your application more power to ya.

Bubbles on solder joint(after conformal coating curing)

Hi sforman1, The chemical that i'm using is a solvent based coating humiseal 1B73. From my understanding, the UV curing is mainly for UV curable coating like the UV40. And the main advantage of using UV curing is for fast throughput and environment

Conformal Coating Issues

I use Trace and certainly recommend them. I actually just had this test done last week. Adhesion test per ASTM-3359 Method B. We use Humiseal 1B73, which is similar to what you use. Is your soldermask "active" enough for this coating? I believe

High temp PCB coating needed

SCC3 has an operating temperature of 200C, as long as it is heat cured at 100C. https://www.electrolube.com/pdf/tds/044/DCA.pdf It's also a silicone so needs to be coated & cured away from anything you value. Otherwise there are plenty of PU's and

conformal coating over inspection stamps

Electronics Forum | Mon Feb 18 18:13:30 EST 2019 | slthomas

Has anyone found a durable, indelible inspection stamp ink? We have an extreme case of smearing/obliteration because we have the boards dip coated (Humiseal 1B73). The manufacturer of our stamps is zero help, i.e., the best I could get out of them
