"Better" means different things to different users. When we decided to upgrade I thought about a TP9 too but frankly it couldn't do much more than the Quads we already had. It just did it with a bigger footprint. We got a Topaz because we needed hi

I was not trying to imply that you didn't know how to run these machines I was simply saying that alot of problems that people may encounter can be solved with operating them correctly, I am sorry if you took offense to this, I too have performed all

I agree, I'd try placing them with the midas or z-fi head depending what you have. Try using the mechanical centering in the zero angle with a low strength to move it straight. You'll probably have better luck finding a tool that will work on the hea

I have never used a topaz but we are currently running a TP9. I can give you some feedback on a TP9 machine. Answer a few questions first and then I can tell you if I think the TP9 is a good fit for you. What size components are you loading? Low o

People not knowing how to use them...surely not my case........I have worked for more than 7 years with a Topaz and always performed the maintenance and repairs on my own without the assistance of field service engineers!!! Please respect cause I kno

How about Mydata? They are a great start-up machine. Easy to run and you don't need full reels to place parts. You can "make" you own trays to hold parts as well. Plus the price for a used one isn't all that high. Just my two cents.

Mydata would be good, Contact Systems would be good for what you are doing, very good software, crappy feeders but fine for 0805 parts. You may be able to get a Universal GSM pretty cheap these days. If you make a decision then look for a machine you

I have a left to right conveyor, so the X offset is larger, but that is not major. You say "Make sure you are teaching with the unit that the machine defaults to or asks for." This is the beam sensor, and I have found no way to change this, either

PCB > Origin > Origin 0 4 Teach the corner of the pcb at the mechanical stop. This data is from the machine origin. For a unit with a teach camera it will probably be around -25x, 95y. For a beam sensor around 70x, 28y. This is for a right to left
