Has anyone had luck with 0201 cap board design, solder printing and reflow? IPC-SM-782 does not provide much help. I am particularly interested in attach pad design, stencil aperture design and thickness, solder paste (mesh, metal content, etc.), and

Mesh opening size may be a factor in whether or not the paste will pass but only in very fine line deposition. Generally speaking, the printed line width and deposition thickness determine what mesh to use. The paste supplier will be able to tell you

Thanks for reply, in fact, my question is how to calibrate the tool itself, it has some load spring and a gauge moving according to the tension of the mesh. I was wondering if I can make 2 different tension sets to have different comparing values, th

People that measure, say 4 symmetrical points() and one in the center to get the full picture. I personally see it as a NO value added activity. If stencil changes performance - replace it.

There is no real reason why you shouldnt use your current paste. Paste for printing usually is a coarser mesh than paste for dispensing. Dispensing paste is more expensive, because of the mesh and the packaging, but that doesnt matter now. Compa

Not you Steven. Blanket comments like "Double pass printing for solder paste is not needed and will cause defects. Redesign your stencil thickness or aperture sizes, change your paste mesh size or type, go to 45 degree blades." are so way off base.

Hi all, I have a GRUNIG G-CHECK tension measurement tool, I need to prepare a calibration report internally. https://graphcom.gr/product.php?lang=en&id=128 Measuring range between 7 and 50 N/cm Thanks for sharing any useful calibration instruction
