Our wave started leaking a year ago. We welded, patched inside and outside the pot with metal patch. This works if you leave your wave on all of the time. If you turn your pot on and off consantly, the temperature cycles will bring the crack back. Ty

The first thing you should check is if your solder pot is compatible with lead free solder. Most selective solder manufactures have different pots for different types of alloys. If it is compatible you would need to dump the pot, fill it with a SN10

Your 316L stainless steel pot will not contain lead-free solder, over the long term. We'd bet that our solder machine equipment manufacturer will "swap" you a lead-free solder compatable pot for your current pot.

Yes, I've used the muffin tins. I drained a solder drag pot. Steve makes a good point about the drain valve. When I drain my pot, I will be scooping out the solder and filling my tins.
