well... it depends on what you are placing. Many odd-form placement machines, like Chad or Jot, use some sort of mechanical gripper as a "nozzle" without vacuum. John Thorup

Hello Wolfgang Try looking in the process guides section of Circuit Technologies web site. Their recomendation is to bond the jumper wire to the board within 6mm of the lead with hot melt glue, cyanoacrylic glue or adhesive dots. John Thorup

I'll have to second Boca. I have used the TA blades exclusively for three years and have never seen the coating come off. I think you'll be able to make a case for your bean counters. John Thorup
