what is the scenario? The more the solder joint the more capacitors are prone to mechanical stress or the lesser the more mechanical stress? what about uneven solder joint fillet? one side is 25% then other side is 75% or 100%? please put in your

For the capacitors that Yageo analyzed... Were they taken out at representative points in the process?? ie. were samples taken from pre-assembly, pre-ICT, post-conformal coat, post-final test? You note that the parts 'seem' to be ok up to ICT. And

What we have found after using the machine for a while is that its difficult to set up most odd / uneven parts. The best way we have found is use the trimmer package and then use the rough check feature, that seems to work well with most things.

Not enough solderpaste. Uneven solderpaste volume on pads. Bad quality of caps ( Metal ends), try new cap manufacturer, sound weird, huh!! but that happened to me. Good luck.

Are you sure that the rails are perpindicular to the solder pot? Everything looks torqued ---{Or maybe it looks torqued because of the light reflections being at a different angle than other things]

I want to say that waaaayy back when we had an issue like that and it was time to clean the pot. The operator would speed the pump up over time to compensate but it only really helped in the middle of the wave.

You need thermal couple at the location where insufficient solder occur, it would tell you the true story.

Agree. The big pad and part nearby made the paste on two ends of cap melted unevenly.Deposit more paste on the tombstone-ed pad will make it easier to melt. Nothing wrong with profile if everything else is OK. BTW, how to measure temperature on two e

The reasons could be: -The pads size are uneven. Modify the pads size. -The part has not enough time for self-centering. Check and increase TAL. -Solderpaste not melted completely. Increase peak temp. -Solderpaste does not work well. Use alternate so
