Shopping for 265GSX, stay away from Black Camera (or any 265EX), for supportability issues. If you have expectation of useful 2D inspection it must have GREEN camera. See notes: http://www.dekhead.com/id31.html

MPMs have these platens that camera travels on. one's these get scratched(wear out through the years, bad maintenance....the camera starts overshooting position...and you have to replace them.

the package should have nozzle(midas) and camera pre-selected(hydra camera will not work(try standard or high resolution). Odd shape recognition type will not use auto teach option(try chip, leaded, BGA.... )

Reckless, why would you get desktop machine? AOI machine has two components camera and conveyor. /why would you buy just the camera?

There are one value for thickness during PCB-teach function which is the PCB thickness. The other one is the camera focus in machine option but it is a dangerous function because the camera focus is adjusted by raising/lowering table.

Yes, we did it with both the monitors (camera & normal). Used a BNC to VGA adaptor for the black & white camera.

In my machines (Yamaha / Assembleon / Philips) there is an option to FIRST rotate the element and then check it with a camera (I do not use it, because it requires an additional better camera) - maybe you will find something like that at home?

It sounds like a mechanical issue. Otherwise, you'd lose other calibration. Try backing up the parameters. Then, when the camera is out of calibration, restore the parameter and see if that fixes the problem.
