How about a stepped stencil? Not ideal but ... As far as overprinting goes, try: http://www4.uic.com/wcms/WCMS2.nsf/index/Resources_44.html

Just had anopther thought, what type of parts are you using on this board? You may want to try a thin stencil like 5 mil or so this may help you. also can this "tilt" be from a movement during reflow? Russ

We discussed about applying 2 dots of glue on either sides of the LED body, but have yet to try it out. Other discussions include conductive adhesive, using fixturing with weight, different stencil aperature design, hand soldering.

Try changing blades. If still a problem, move job to another printer and cross feed to your existing line. If all else fails, try buying a new stencil. You could get new by Monday.

as someone had said before, check you stencil and have it redesigned. I design our stencils for my factory and have inproved quality in BGA , QFP and 0603 case sizes. we did have 1 prototype series that used 0403 chips btu we had brand new feeders an

What pitch IC? Perhaps a nickel stencil will work. Are your board FR4? Warping the board could play a major factor in solder shorting.

Shouldn't the top of the board be at the exact same height as the top of the side clamps? Why are the clamps holding the stencil up off the board?

Remember, deionized water is very corosive. If the water is too deionized, 10 mega ohm, it will leach the ions from exposed metals. I had a stencil cleaner where the welds completely dissolved. The stainless steel tank was fine but the welds were

Rob, just curious how did you overcome this through stencil design? Did you play around with foil thickness and aperture geometry?
