I don't know what machine type you have or what the nozzles look like but we use a standard nozzle with an I.D. of either .8 or 1.5mm. We rotate and pick up the part somewhat slowly.

I'm with Grant on the .005" foil thickness. The key is to keep your aspect ratio (aperture width/foil thickness) over 1.5, laser cut, and I like trapezoidal aps. too.

funding from who?. we are dealing with the same thing here. the solder paste cost is roughly 1.5 times SnPb, and the cost of bar solder is thru the roof

Can someone point out what sort of defects at the joint I can expect if solder is above liquidus for 3-4 minutes rather than the typical 1 - 1.5 minutes. Voids? Grainy joints? Poor wetting? Thanks

Is Total Force setting necessary, and is it depend on the board thicknes? Is it making any different as far as printing goes? My boss have it set on 8.00 for all 4 MPM, and we are running different type of PCB everyday. Some of the boards thicknes is
