Oil will make them act faster/smoother, but will collect dirt and dust faster. I prefer to oil, and clean more often.

Have you tried to do a reset start? When Fuji's act weird the first place to start is a reset start, then re-load the Proper Status and Program. Jerry

Look at it this way, It ran from 96 to now. I think handling the cards can cause problems (especially in an old machine). That said, a lot of times the fix for an intermittent is making sure the connections are good but I would not mess with it unl

Haven't had a chance to check this out yet. It ran all day Thursday with no trouble, then we were off for 3 days. Doing a changeover now so will try this next time it acts up. Thanks for your reply.

board input sensor sensitivity? maybe conveyor movement triggers it and because of that it sends pulse. conveyor moves few millimeters, how does machine act?

When an older Fuji machine acts odd the first place to go is a reset start and reload proper, program, and status to see if that fixes it. Just make sure you have a good proper before you begin. Jerry

Yes, we soldered some Mil-Max pins on a functional test board before. Utter nightmare. We managed to finally get them on, but yes, terrible wetting, and they act as total thermal sinks. Make sure to oversize you pads.
