We are using a age old warpage spec of .010 inch per inch max warpage spec. Is there a recommended warpage spec for surface mount boards?

A thread os "old" when it drops off the page. So, "age" depends of the 'forum', for example: * 'Production Forum' threads currently drop off the page after about 12 days. * Other forum threads drop off the page after 30 days.

Hi, Each people will have diff idea. If you ask me... with that $90k in hand you can get a used MPM 3000 fully automate from some dealer/broker. Very nice machine. Prices will be depand on age and option. Good luck.

Do you have a different reel of parts. The leads could be oxidized from age. If everything else is soldering well, I would try that. Is your profile on your oven correct?

How old are these parts? Sn/Ni plating is very succeptable to age and everything else. They are possibly tarnished. Also, what is your peak temp in reflow? It takes about 225 230 C to get good wetting to the underlying nickel. Russ

Hi Jon, Thanks for your reply. Age of the machine does play a part too. So, at 60%, there is still 10~20% improvement opportunity for the Siemens machines.

My company runs an older TP9 machine that has had a few problems due to the old age but their tech support has been VERY good. I would recommend Mydata to anybody.
