Do you see any issues with grid lock on double sided boards? My concern is that you set it up for the first board second side (populated side down) then you might have parts that aren't exacly at the same height on the next boards due to shifting or

I know this has been kicked around a lot but I'm asking for fresh opinions. We are close to buying new printers. One options we're considering from MpM is the auto pin placement for board support pins. 80% of what we currently run requires tooling

My personal preference is for manual set-up on the conformal tooling and have not seen an issue with bad support due to parts positioning variation... but if this becomes a legitimate issue, you can run in auto mode to reconform for each board (I lik

Make sure your printer can handle it too.

Our process mostly are double sided reflow and we are using water soluble paste on ENTEK PCB. Rework WIP has been accumulated since the last 4 months, and upon clearing, one of the method that the test guy use are to reflow the PCB again for one mo

We are using Ekra Stencil printers and they are great except for 1 problem... We run several different boards a day and we need a way for the operators to place the pin supports in the same postions on the second side of the board everytime a board i

There were some issues with the older grid-lok systems that have been resolved in the newer designs. We run them in all of our printers and Fuji chip shooters. The only issue we see is that the air pressure may need adjusted on thin boards.

My company is just starting to do double sided smt. What options are available for under board support for printing and placing the second side? We are using a Dek 248 printer and Samsung CP Series placement machines.

I would agree with Sr Tech..Grid lock and systems like this can be used on the Ekra, MPM and DEK printers also can be used in Pick and place depending on the density of pin. If you choose the method of printing out a 1:1 photoplot. Glue it to a piece

Hi there, I used Grid-Lok and some other PCB support from Quik-Tool (don't ask me model :) ), which is pretty similar to Grid-Lok, in Viscom machines. We also had jigs for high volume products similar to those you would use for PCB routing, but with
