I found a feeder with a 2mm pitch and was told that although it was made for the CP4, it would work with the CP3. Before we throw out a thousand bucks, has anyone had experience loading parts off of a 2mm pitch tape with the CP3? The part is a 1.6

Hi, CP3 will have trouble placing 0603 parts - I wouldn`t use a CP3 for these parts - A CP4 will be more suitable. A older CP4 feeder will fit and function on a CP3.

EIA-481 standard allows the maximum pitch on tape to be 4mm less than the tape width (12mm width and larger). So it is within the standard allowances. As for how common 20mm pitch on 24mm tape is I can not say. I am surprised a 24mm tape feeder ca

Any tape--any pitch. On our C5 platform every part number (in your database) has a package type assigned to it. The package type contains the information about the pitch and component orientation. When you load the feeder you scan the part number-

Has anyone ever ran into a 20mm pitch on a 24mm tape and reel. Our software doesnt have a setting for 20mm. we found a way around it, but i was curious as to how common this pitch is, and if other software or feeders have a 20mm setting.
