Hi Burb, I think you should try with paste which consist Ag.Or it might be other:Ag has different thermal characteristics, so you probably stay too long in the reflow zone. That's one reason for granular joints. good luck!

we are using a "recommend supplier profile", and we have gotten back to the talking table with them over this profile specs. Thanks for the pointer, have ask them on this issue. Have also asked for their phase-transistion diagram to understand their

yes, we r profiling direct thermocouple attachment to the LGA pads. based on direct experience of yourself or others, what paste (brand/type3?/type4?/alloy?/flux%?) gives the optimal repeatable characteristic-patterns to minimize this defect?

You could comprimise on the E-Fab stencil and buy a laser cut nickle, it will have similar release characteristics to an E-Fab and only costs $600, they can be purchased from Stork Veco, they are located in Europe.

bright tin has demonstrated remarkable reduction in wisker formation. Organic inoculations and plating thickness are two very important characteristics in wisker formation.

The amount of times the tin/lead solder can be melted and solidified is unlimited and the heat cycles do not affect the solder characteristics. The only reason for changing the solder pot is when impurities are at or over the maximum levels.

Why not use microwave oven, it would be faster ? Be careful, rheology and all paste's characteristics are strongly dependent from the "not stressing" reaction moving from low temperature to Room Temperature. Best regards TZ

Hi Ken, You're right - they're not doing anything smart, they are just using a rechargable battery pack. It's not even the latest or most suitable technology for the application (Li-ion has far better temperature characteristics & far high capacity

is there a required storage room temperature for core (toridal and e-core. we are experiencing a rejection on inductance reading of our units, but when we checked the number of turns of transformer and the AL value of e-core it all passed to its requ
