I am looking for opinions on inline adhesive dispense equipment. I am considering Creative Automation, GPD, Asymtek, and Camalot. I will be dispensing dots of conductive adhesive about .010" in diameter. Thanks, Chris

I havent read this, but maybe you can do a report for us. Look at: Achieving Ultra-Fine Dot Solder Paste Dispensing http://www.uic.com/wcms/WCMS.nsf/index/Material_Dispensing_0.html

I am looking at dispensing solder paste using a Fuji GLV glue dispenser. This is to enable us to produce prototype pcb's without the need to purchase a stencil. Has anybody tried this before? If so what problems should I expect to encounter.

Dear Rob, Thank you for your participation. However, the question is in regards to dispensing via automated dispenser (e.g. CAMALOT, PVA, etc..) not printing with a stencil. Thank you for your attempt. Deon

Use a spray fluxer, like those used in wave soldering. Search the fine SMTnet Archives for supplier names. We understand that spray fluxing is significantly different than dispensing. What do you want/expect to accomplish by dispensing liquid flux

So far I know of two dispensing system cleaner and conditioner to purge the solder paste out to preserve the valve. Valve Purge from EFD Nordson and Purgel from Interflux. Are there any other alternatives for purging and cleaning dispensing systems?

Thanks, we'll try this too. We aquired an asymtek millenium for dispensing selectively. It is setup for epoxies with a needle dispense head so we'll try to make it all work for us. One-part silicones seem to be the popular solution.
