Hi all, Is there anybody out there who have some experience of Valor Trilogy 5000 in respect of programming/line balancing SMT-lines consisting of Fuji CP6-4's and UIC-GSM's? Our company is seriously thinking about to go for UniCam and their solution

First thing, I wouldn't buy new. There's tons of this stuff out there, the problem is finding the used stuff. One place to look is the SMTnet used equipment sales watteverzits called. Roland knows the name. Most work bench suppliers [eg, Arlink,

You will have to forget about the idea of finding ONE algorithm to optimize SMT placement. For pick and place, collect and place, turret type "chip shooters" with moving feeder cartridge and moving board you will each have to find your own algorithm

The GSM simulator is good for estimating how long it will take, just to give you a ball park figure. That is my opinion. We do use GSM's, and I do use the simulator for HSP and GSM to balance the line. It's a good start point.

Stick with what you already know. A GSM1 with a 4 spindle head is the way to go. Its excellent for balancing a line becuase you can place anything with it. Or if you need to dispence glue or odd form parts you can add another head later.

I'm only peripherally aware of CircuitCam; we were adopting it in a past-life, and I wasn't terribly connected with the adoption. However, I thought that it did have the capability of optimizing a job to a production line (assuming the two machines

Panasonic Factory Automation now has (or soon will) software to balance with other companies' machines. I don't know how it works yet, but is an option Lance | I am studing the possibility of a line with one Siemens SIPLACE 80 F and a PANASONIC machi

Hello, We used FujiCAM to prepare FCM programs but now we're thinking to change it to an other software. We have some FCM and some (more) FUJI machines also. We used FujiCAM to controll and proram the lines but we changed it to Fuji FlexA. Microsof

KH This won't work if your planning on running these 2 machines together in line. The fast machine will always be waiting on the slow machine. How many Philips FCM's have you seen in line with Mydata? Don't think to hard; the answer is zero. Wh
