Hi all.We have between 2 and 3 percent waste of components.The software gives info about the whole waste and I am interested what's the limit for component waste?Where I can read about it?Are there any tables with given limits? Any posts,please!

I have always heard to use solder with 2 percent silver to reduce gold embrittlment. One vendor site said this is a myth. Does anyone know of a specific document recommending this such as IPC or MIL spec. ???

You should be fine. A fifteen percent reduction of these pads will probably improve reliability, depending on spacing of course.

We typically store the tubes straight up and down. This seemed to help with the air pocket problem. Did not solve it 100 percent. best bet is still vacum.

If economical is what your looking for the atmosphere already contains 20 odd percent nitrogen. Why the need to use N2 with lead free?

If you let the silver content of your solder connections get much above 3 percent, it could cause reliabilitility problems, similar to the problems caused when the gold content gets too high.

Yes the nozzels that we use are 99.8 percent iron. Does steel wet better, or do you just know that your works good.
