| | I am currently in the process of setting up an SMD Parts Package Database. The database will contain dimensional information to be used by the placement machinery to process parts (I.E Package Type, # of Leads, Lead dimensions, Lead pitch(s), etc

In that context the "SMB" and "SMD" refers to the package or "case" type the mfg. uses. See the component mfgs. data sheet, last page usually that shows case outline drawing. These are usually avbl on the mfgs. website in a PDF.

I was wanting to know if there was any type of formula that I could use to determine the correct packaging for a SMD For example, if I have the component measurements, can I find out what the correct width and pitch of the tape it comes in should be

Hello all! Can you tell me what is the allowed offset for placed SMD component? Let's say for 0603 package(1.5mm,0.75mm the offset could be 0.2mm in X and Y ....) Where can I read about it? Thank you in advance.

The recommended bake temperature for components in Tape and Reel is 40C. If you use a bake temperature higher than that, the cover tape and other elements of the packaging will degrade to the point that it becomes impossible to reliably use an automa

Hi. I need to mount a LED SMD type backwards on a PCB. Currently, I am doing that manually. My questions are: Is there a SMD LED with the right package to mount that? The machines automatically place elements on a PCB, Do they could mount the L

How long are the OSP boards out of there packaging? Is this a double sided smd process or single? Are the boards stored in nitrogen? Sounds like an osp issue to me!

Hi, I'm looking for vendors that manufacture connector pins that would solder onto the edge of a small SMD pcb so that I can mount it as a SIP onto a larger PCB. Better yet, are there small diameter pins that can be soldered into thru-holes so the SM
