Hi Wayne, I am just curious what material is being called out. Are you just specing FR4 or are you calling out a particular IPC 4101 / Some recommended laminates designed for Lead free assembly are: Isola 370HR Nelco 4000-11 or 4000-29 Iteq IT15

I know, but somewhere I read about an equation or relationship that takes both into account to generate another number.

Hi To Start Min Tg is just a portion of picking a lead free material, the other is Td. We recommend the following to our Customers. 2-8 layer 150 Tg. Min. / 340 Td. 8-Up. 170-180 Tg.Min. / 340 Td. The above recommendations have been used by man

Hello, I suggest you visit the website http://www.analysispcb.com, where I found these information : PARAMETERS FOR DOUBLE “V” SCORING LEAD FREE LAMINATES Typ WEB Thickness, 1.6mm : 0.38mm (+.15/-0) "...Tg is not a good indicator of a materials’

Our best suggestion - get the copper balanced and if possible go to higher Tg materials.

Hany, Tg is "Glass Transition Temperature". For an informative explanation of what this is, take a look at; http://www.psrc.usm.edu/macrog/tg.htm MLB = Multi Layered Board Does the board which you have the problem with only pass through the wave

I will be building a board, about 8 X 12 , .062" thick using a standard FR406 stackup. It has a variety of devices, including CCBGA , CBGA and PBGA's. Given the challenge of developing a reflow profile that will accomodate both ceramic and plastic BG

Some literature recommand to increase TG of PCB when Soldering Lead Free (ie.SAC allow Reflow and Wave ), some literature do not mention it, some recommand it only in case of large panels, etc. According to your experience, what is the best practice
