What is the best way/material to clean leads with 20% copper exposed that have been sitting in a stock room for a couple of years. My process uses NC flux 263 from AIM and I want to stay with the NO-Clean as much as possible!

Dave, I'm assuming your unsoldered fids are exposed copper. Do you have any issues with machine vision due to the various color changes the copper goes through as it oxidies? Larry

Sometimes the cut end of QFP leads have corrosion that is very difficult to solder. If this is what you're talking about, it is not a defect according A-610C, 6.5.2, Exposed Basis Metal
