Can anyone tell me the significance of the EPTSSOP (Exposed Pad Thin Shrink Small Outline Package)? From the drawing it appears to be just a 28-pin TSSOP. Are there any special sensitivities / requirements during PCB assembly? Please help.

What is the best way/material to clean leads with 20% copper exposed that have been sitting in a stock room for a couple of years. My process uses NC flux 263 from AIM and I want to stay with the NO-Clean as much as possible!

I am surprised to hear that you can wave a socket with or without component in it. What is the orientation of the socket on the board, 0 or 45 degree? Are you sure, you can remove the PLCC out of the socket after soldering? Do you have the designers

Dave, I'm assuming your unsoldered fids are exposed copper. Do you have any issues with machine vision due to the various color changes the copper goes through as it oxidies? Larry
