Manufacturing breakthroughs?

Electronics Forum | Tue Sep 09 00:51:33 EDT 2003 | iman

everyone made good observations in the arena of improvements. being rather pessimistic today, I'd like to say the one core area of little (if none at all) improvement is the over-reliance of human (aid/non-aid) inspection of SMT output soldering de

Maximum production per SMT Line

Electronics Forum | Thu Jun 10 18:18:13 EDT 2004 | ricardof

well, my concern is not the equipment, I know we could have the lines to do that, at this time not the required space, but what about the people? I mean, the machines are not 100% human beings independent, will the people support feeding, wiping, ins

Handskin reaction!!

Electronics Forum | Fri Mar 04 07:19:19 EST 2005 | sureguo

I guess it would be the work related reaction as there is many hazardous substance in the SMT process, such heavey metal, flame retardant, which are known for its hazard to enviroment and human health. actually, in our factory, maybe because of lack

Touch-up and Inspection Process

Electronics Forum | Tue Mar 01 10:55:07 EST 2005 | spot

A lot depends on the complexity of the board/process as well as the amount of placements. If the board has few placements and the parts are not smaller that 0805 then doing all the rework after completion is ok. The human eye can only pick out obvi

how to achieve 500ppm?

Humidity in SMT room

Electronics Forum | Fri Feb 17 17:26:56 EST 2006 | mika

Hmm... how about the people inside this room; working in this dry environment? This is something never discussed highly, but I believe it is most certainly important for the human health. This is another interesting thing about RoHS; the side effects

Paste printing, acceptable tolerance ?

Electronics Forum | Thu May 25 18:32:12 EDT 2006 | pms

Having an issue with our paste inspector (human type). Were printing paste on .5mm pitch pads (MLF package). My question is - What is the acceptable print deviation (percentage) off the pad before you see problems after reflow? 0%? 1%? 10%? 25%?

Quad/SMTech/MPM 400 printer question

Electronics Forum | Mon Oct 23 20:33:17 EDT 2006 | dman97

Yes, I tried to clean it, but the pen is just messed up. Somebody broke part of the tip off and that is the cause of the screw up. The pen works, but it is very picky about what parts of the screen it likes and doesnt like. I was just tired of playin

Your recommendation is appreciated - Humidity Range for the SMT

Electronics Forum | Mon Nov 06 13:35:10 EST 2006 | Theresa Spear

We are starting up a new clean room for SMT production and wondering if anyone is aware of any guideline for operating humidity and temperature ranges for the room. We know that the MSD's will prefer it to be dry and cool. However, there are other f
