Has anyone else used the Multi-Job Balancer? I am considering this but of course cost is slowing down the decision making. On average we do a 30-60 feeder setup and switch out to about 4 jobs a day. So any input would be highly appreciated.

Is it only this 1 job? Is the error "board model not found"? I have had instances where I taught the Fids. and it still didn't like them in production. Is the board fid. in the center of the screen when you try to run the job?

Guys, I have very little experience in quoting for new jobs on an automated assembly line . Can anyone give me some pointers? I know this is a broad subject and depends on overheads etc. but any assistance would be appreciated aj

"We are trying to run the AOI inline but Operators do not feel it is their job to do so." THAN REPLACE THE OPERATORS WITH SOMEONE WHO VALUES A JOB. Thats how I would handle that one.

Mark, We have an IP3 that I can videotape for you when we get all the components in for our next job (probably around 3/21/07). The only thing that will be missing is the tray feeder operation, as this job does not use any components from a tray.

Hi all, does anyone know of any free software (Excel Macro?) that can compare BOMs and show like pairs for reducing setup time from job to job?

This probably goes without saying but in order to utilize the feeder carts you must have enough feeders to have a job running on the machine, and a job loaded and sitting on the feeder carts. Also the IQ system can only talk to IQ feeders.
