Interesting - We're using the same AIM products as you. On the lead free, 353, did you start out with it or did you try the WS485? That was the 1st product recommendation we got from AIM and we found that the lot to lot consistency was not good. T

I used to build the SMTech 100 range of machines before the company closed, and i also have dealings with them still. The 100is is a very capable machine and will go on forever with a little T.L.C. foxy

I did not question the accuracy, which is very good, but only 99.8 % of the time. If I require this accuracy for a certain part to be placed, than I want to have this part on target more often than 3 sigma permits.

We are a high-mix/low-volume operation and end up cleaning 40 - 50 stencils per day. Does anybody know of an automated inspection system or "scanner" that can check a stencil for cleanliness?

Thanks Phil. However, my objective is to identify stencils that are not 100% clean prior to sending to inventory. I want to catch it before the solder paste has a chance to dry and harden in the apertures. Kerry

Anyone have information on the ROSA Technique? It is a derivative of the SERA analysis for solder-ability on pads, (they are not italian sisters)I belive the techniques were developed by Rockwell and Motorola. thanks in advance. JKK

Tough to say based on what you have told us. Things to Determine are: * Is the heat at the solder connections that are not reflowing properly adequate? * Is the pad surface of the solder connections that are not reflowing properly solderable?
