Sometimes it's just because they want "data art" on the walls. I was once tasked with developing an SPC program for our SMT lines. It was crudely implemented (plotting points on a chart template) because this was a BIFF (big improvements for free) p

The most effective method is to monitor both printing results and parameters. Periodically (maybe once per month), run QCCalc or another program to measure the machine's capability to hold its set parameters. I also run control charts on the paste h

| My company is looking to perform "real time" statistical process control on our current SMT operations. I have identified the critical processes for SPC but have not had much luck in finding a system(s) that can monitor the required processes for m

At the wave, you should collect data on the critical process parameters. The cliche being, it's better to control your process via SPC versus performing SPC on defect data. Perform a DoE to determine which variable interactions have the greatest eff

| For process management with SPC of the stencil printing process with a fully automatic stencil printer, what process outpur parameter would you recommend for SPC? | | It appears to me that there are two options: | A: to have a pn chart based upon

Was wanting to get some ideas about some systems being used to measure Preventive Maintenace effectiveness on SMT equipment. Currently using machine SPC data, defect tracking and PPM's per SMT process. Looking for new ideas and better methods. Than

Well very interesting...i think a possible solution can be data acquisition via Matlab and then carrying the necessary operations. Can u give details of your works-----I can then get closer to a possible solution.

You can find lots of Excel add-on macro packages by searching the net with Google. Consider Q1 Macro, SPC IV Excel, and macros from BaRaN Systems.

Sounds like SPC data collection is turned on with post print alignment inspection. Needs to be changed to "NONE" http://www.dekhead.com
