Where to get large reel 0402 passives?

Electronics Forum | Wed Dec 14 06:16:50 EST 2005 | Rob

Hi Grant, Murata do 0402 chip caps on 50K reels - example: GRM1555C1H101JZ01J 0402, 100pf, NPO/C0G 50V 5% (make sure the final letter is included - the J denotes the reel size - D is standard 10K) Rohm MCR01 series (0402 resistors) come on 6inch, 1

Capacitor Failure

I find is fascinating that a lot of people blame the Pbfree finish before anything else, as if this is some new and scary thing. It MAY be a contributing factor, but I doubt it is the main or only issue. When we started evaluating our BOM's 1.5 ye

Axial capacitor Pull out force

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 21 20:52:06 EDT 2007 | davef

There is not standard for the force to pull an axial lead from a soldered connection. ".....IPC does not have pull tests in any of its standards, and some reliability experts would prefer to keep it that way, pull tests are commonly used by some lea

Plenty of 0805 inductors around, up to 470mH, but nothing that is 26mH. Coilcraft do 23.5mH or 29mH - see https://www.coilcraft.com/getmedia/18dd250a-2b92-4f9a-bcee-3624995acc0f/0302cs.pdf Eaton do a 27mH 0805 - see https://www.eaton.com/content/dam

I'm requesting assistance in developing detection and containment methods for an issue with an SMD ceramic resonator (Murata CSTCE-G-A family). The returns have external visual cracks that originate at the termination and run at approximately a 45 d

Touch up on 0603 Chips ( Ceramic caps)

I have got a number of assemblies back from a customer with feedback that the solder fillet is less than 25% of chip height per IPC-Standard-610B Class 2. Most of my joints are having good wetting but fillet height does not meet min ht requirement of

Re: Why so little interest in Bulk Fed passives?

Actually, the capability does exist, even on chip shooters w/ feeder carriages. We've been using Sanyo's cassette feeder on their turret machine (TCM3500) for over a year with 0603 caps. I don't know about Fuji or Panasonic. | I'm not sure I'm off

| If passive componets are cheaper why aren't they more popular? Manufacturers like Murata and AVX claim availability and substantial cost savings but little interest seems to exist. Why? Your input is greatly appreciated. | Good question... I work
