Can anyone tell me an approximate cost of the PDR 410 and/or ERSA IR rework station? Is the main advantage of using these systems over a hot air machine in that nozzles are not needed?

With a reflow oven or BGA Rework Station I doubt you will get better than 2.5 minutes. Using a hot air pencil with about a 1/4" nozzle you can probably get 30 to 60 seconds depending on the density of your PCB?

Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum. I just got back into an SMT career after a 4 year break, and it feels good to be back. Anyways, I'm doing some maintenance work with a Fuji CP-645. It has a few problems that I am currently unable to isolate, a

Checking the vacuum at all stations is a good place to start. A vacuum guage with a piece of hose attached to a CP nozzle is a very handy tool to have. If you notice less vacuum at any one of the stations, you can start by looking @ the spool valves

Have you tried doing a reflow of the BGA with the connectors removed? This should solve the question of connector proximity giving you a problem. Also, try rotating the board 90 deg in your rework station before reflowing a BGA. Be sure to rotate th

I will have to check the nozzles to see if they are stuck up, but I don't believe so as I changed them all out a couple weeks ago. I have not went back to the feeder yet because I am not getting vision errors. I was able to see the diodes fly off on

We are currently using an Air-Vac DRS24 hot air BGA/SMD rework unit. Most of our nozzles are designed to channel the exhaust away from nearby components. This and a minimum keepout of .100" has prevented any issues with secondary reflow of those co

Hi, I recently obtained an old Ungar 4700 smt rework station, but have no information about the thing. Does anyone have or a source for info (and parts) about this machine? It powers up, lights up, gets hot, but I have no nozzles or any accessories.
