I would choose wave over hand solder. Top side wetting due to thermal mass will be your biggest obstacle. Of course I don't know the size of your soldering irons or how weak your wave may be.....

Yes, but no guarantee of solderability. This just puts more paste on the pads. From my experience, unsoldered QFN parts are not due to lack of solder, but reflow.

Rob is right, you do need to dispense paste or pre-forms when using a laser. Although the Panasonic Soft Beam has a wire despenser. I've seen laser soldering and it does work on smaller stuff. Doesn't work well on connectors even after preheating.
