I beg to differ but the old metcals do handle lead free with no problems - Unless we have a rogue batch of ancient super MX500's.

Same question here. The Agilis feeders look like they would work great and be super fast to set up. We spend more time loading feeders than we do running machines. Do these feeders really work as good as Mydata says they do??

Russ, we had similiar issue on the corner seperation. The board is ENIG and the part is Altera FBGA 1020 (Super BGA) and reflowed by tin/lead paste. Please comment your concern on Altera parts! Is CTE mismatch?

So is Special Chunks! And really feel "special" when I have to deal with all the Larry's at my place of employment. Guess I'll just have to buy my own cape, but I still refuse to join the Super Adventure Club with Master Larry and Moon Man.

Hi Double Hung, I believe it depends on the board house and their process to manufactue the baord. But over all, I do not believe it would be an issue.

hung copper balance is really critical in your case. in the same configuration we have specified less than 5% copper variation between top and bottom layer if you keep this rule, assembly will be ok, otherwise you will get a terrible warpage after

Depending on the material, the etching can damage the dielectric. This can be manufactured but is difficult and expensive. Copper plating and other processes that require agitation are almost impossible.

Why don't you just use a Super MOLE oven rider? And besides, profiling will depends on the paste you are using, isn't that right?

We use Super Dry. The oldest ones are about 5 years old and we haven't had a problem.

I have always been impressed by the Finetech machines for this scale of work. www.finetechusa.com I have no affiliation there, just a old sales enemy/friend Super accurate optics and placement.
