Options that may help. Do you use a Vibratory Wave if so try reducing. The solder temperature shouldn't be to high. I would suggest 485F but is process dependant. Try slowing the preheat cycle this also may help. because this is variable I would try

Thanks for the feedback guys. We have Fuji IP3's, so we can save all the reels and bottom tape too. Stick feeders are a nightmare. Lost production due to the long set up times of vibratory feeders is ridiculous. Also, pick up rate is inconsistant fro

Guys, I have a Dynapert MPS2500 in house that is taking up space. The machine is still in working order but we have invested in new machines. There is also the majority of a stripped down machine in stores also. Anyone interested in taking this plu

We use JUKI KE2060 now, and we consider purchase of two YS12 for our next assembly line. But I'm afraid some of the details, like lack of pick-hight measurment function in YS12, we got used to perform at the begining of new production run (by JUKI's

Never mind that, your MRP/stock control system should be able to tell you the reels you buy most often. If there's a huge amount of splicing is it worth looking at bulk components and one of those bowl/vibratory feeders? (if only because they are sup

Thomas, I imagine if you could get everybody's opinion who's worked with vibratory feeders for any length of time, they'll all tell you they basically suck...it's better than nothing when you have to deal with tubed parts, but they still suck. Here's

Daniel, I think JOHN and Ramot have some good ideas but I guess I am a little confused. How have you placed BGA's or QFP's in the past. If you are just starting to place them and believe you will continue to in the future, you need to start looki

If you've told your experts in Germany and US as little as you've told us, I'm not surprised they don't know dip. Sorry, I just snapped there for a moment. That wasn't politic, was it? Yes, it is possible that the other solder connection on this c

In the early days of SMT we were using vibratory bulk feeders for chip components. It was quite obvious that some of the components had to try several times getting through the gravity trap or with the right side up through the light sensor. As a res
