A chemical change is needed to reduce VOCs in our spray-in-air stencil cleaner. Items that are to be considered to effectively find a replacement chemical that works as well, or better than the current chemical include, but not limited to, the foll

We currently use Vigon SC-202 in our spray in air system. SC-202 has 830g/l VOC content, so I don't know if that will help reduce your VOC's or not. We used Smart Sonic 440-R in ultrasonic application with great results, but we haven't tried it in

Just started using VOC free no clean in a fully inerted wave. Have problem with one assembly with solder balling. This assembly is single sided mixed and solder mask is UV cured wet film. Other assemblies we build are L.P.I. solder mask and do exhib

These solder balls are where [top / bottom]? Describe the breadth and degree of this problem across all assemblies. Finally, describe your wave solder machine, a common profile for this board, and the board [beyond that it's mixed tech, like are

Good question - as it is a water based flux then you are going to get a very low level of solvent evaporation, and it's hardly going to be absorbing additional water whilst sitting around. (you actually want the water (carrier element) to evaporate).

Recently I have been hearing and see this excess flux residue problem at several companies, US, Mexico, and Japan. It seems to have increased recently. In fact, it seems so common that it seems normal, but if everything is correct, a re-flow oven sho

We are in the process of changing over our wave solder flux from alcohol based no clean to VOC free water based no clean. We are running an old Eletrovert with foam fluxer, tin lead solder. After preliminary testing on scrap boards and now starting t

Have been playing with VOC free water based fluxes, so far they appear to come clean in an aqueous cleaner, I went to perform Ionagraph testing but our machine was down so I will let you know if they pass ionics.
