He sure was. We saw this version of it a couple of years ago [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TD1LHejil6M&feature=related ]. In this one, the presenter almost cracks a couple of times, but the boffin in the white coat is rock solid.

Here is another visual. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/416435/computer_fan_generator/ Only issue with a PC fan is I'm positive that the blades will melt while enduring the heat of the reflow oven exhaust.

Best is 7 or 6.5D if you cant achieve 7. In fact this is the best angle for Leaded and Lead Free, so watch the Chinese machines as they come in around 5 and cause loads of bridging problems

It really depends on what method you used to mask. Liquid mask, tape, rubber boots, etc. It is something most learned thru trial and error, much like running the parylene machine. It's never as easy as loading it up, turn it on and watch it go!

Deni, You also need to check if your flux is properly wetting the board. Flux dewetting on the surface can also cause webbing. You can check that with spraying flux on the board surface and watch the wetting behavior. Patrick
