| Is there process by which one can do a double sided reflow (SMT on both sides) in one pass through the oven? | Probably not. I have heard people talk of it but never see it done and I wouldn't recommend it. Good luck

Dear all: We had a severe curvature in our boards after wave soldering.Could a second pass in the wavesolder m/c reduce this curvature. If not then what do you recommend to solve this problem. Also how it can be avoided. Best Regards Hany

Are you talking about selective wave pallets? Most of it depends on the minimum thickness of masking walls (design). I have had some that have lasted until the product went EOL (5000 passes or so. and some have made it about 50 passes. How's that

Is this the first pass or second? We have found the screen printer on the 2nd pass to be the culprit more often than not. let us know your results, pr

Are you using Houdini brand paste? It really depends on the part and pad size, but I kinda doubt that youre paste is disappearing during the 2nd reflow. Do a side by side comparison of first pass versus second pass reflow and show your operator.

Our SQE's want to benchmark the first pass yield requirements that we place on our CM's - currently they are at 95% - does this seem reasonable?

I would trust that you are benchmarking some design rules as well? Yield is directly related to design as well as process capability. anyway 95% is not a bad first pass yield at all, and I would tend to think that that is a little high when dealing

I define First Pass yield without any repairs. But I only consider a PCB to need repair if it fails test. Our boards are inspected before testing and any work done before testing, I consider to be rework and is part of the SMT process.

Hi We have a board at the moment thats passing ICT and passing functional test but its failing test after conformal coating has anyone had any experinces of this? or any idea what may be causing this?
