Thanks for your help. Yes it is a VME630 Lantern vision system. I'll try swapping the card with the one in the other machine.

sounds like the part is being picked up on its side....which means.......it could be.... 1. pickup not taught correctly -- X-Y- or Z 2. head to camera calibration is needed 3. or least likely....feeder problems

Hi Mark, This problem can be overcome by adjusting the camera brightness - Gain & Offset. I think the offset value is very high. Try reducing it.

Make sure you have the 1 mil & 4 mil cameras so you can cover virtually any component.

Quad Align.....Cyber-optics....no difference...they both work well. Never tried a micro-bga but i know the upward camera does standard bga parts.

What are you trying to calibrate? I think you mis-typed...there is no W-wagon. I think you meant X-wagon camera. I have never seen one of these go out of cal. Why do you think it needs calibrated ?

Thanks dude. There was a broken wire in the big cable. You couldn't tell at a glance, but a very slight tug popped it out. I have it rewired and up and running now. Thanks again.
