UIC GSM and NiPdAu pads

Electronics Forum | Mon Oct 19 15:43:37 EDT 2009 | dilogic

We have a problem with QFN IC's with NiPdAu plated pads. Our ULC's don't see the pads due to the almost ideal reflection. Vision sees the pads almost black. As we don't have OAL-cameras (which can help in this case, I assume), I am thinking of back-l

Universal GSM and 0402/0201 Placement

We did 0402s for years on a GSM. Is this a flexjet or a 4 spindle head? A flexjet is easy with 0402s. The four spindle nozzles are big, you run into issues with knocking already places parts and having to Z zone carefully (and beware repair cycles.)

I doubt you will be able to get satisfactory results with 0201. 0402 is another story. When doing 0402 projects, we use only electric (MP) feeders and always at the same feeder slots (feeder teach done for each of them). MPF08 nozzle works fine. Also

tape splicing pros and cons

Hey Greg, As you already pointed out yourself: unless you can do away with covertape pickup-spools (or can figure out a way to empty them without loosing tension on the covertape) your feeders will not be suitable for several consecutive splices. S

On our machines, the feeder release latch is designed such that the feeder goes offline (machine will not pick from it) before you can actually remove the feeder. This makes it virtually impossible to damage a nozzle or spindle. I'm not sure about

Mydata TP9-2 and TP11-UFP difference

Electronics Forum | Thu Jul 18 17:06:19 EDT 2019 | spoiltforchoice

I can't imagine anything more tedious than continuously swapping feeders during a build (unless your panels are 10mins++) and the very suggestion this was a good idea when were were looking at MY's was comical to me. You should expect all TP series

Fuji is the best, but there are other alternatives besides Quad. If you really want to look at Fuji, take a peek at their XP142E series. With "Vision processing on the fly" and a "Mini Turret Head" with 12 placement nozzles it should fit your needs n

Max and Min nozzle settings on CP7

Two ways at it.You could just put the same nozzle for both the min and max.Or you could move the feeder into a location that has similar parts using the nozzle you want. With the feeder setup it should be optimized for the least amount of nozzle ch
