Routing is great for odd shaped PCBs that don't lend themselves to v-scoring. changing from one shape PCB to another is easy. The down sides are you may require custom support tooling and they generate alot of dust. keeping up with the PM will be cri

What SWAG said. We use a PCB Router exclusively for rigid flex assemblies. On a side note, we have begun to save fixturing costs by using 3D print technology to produce many of the fixtures, for both rigid and rigid flex. We can design and print l

My my my, where do I go with this?!?!? SMT Guru Expert Superior Process God, I agree with you about "thinking outside the box". We do that at my facility everyday. But there are times when you need to "jump thru hoops". It's a fine balance in co

if you have a budget for new machine, laser depanelising is pretty good for flex PCB as no physical stress on PCB like mechanical routing, thus fixturing is easier and less prone to moving the flex while cutting. Laser systens can also cut FR4 standa

I've done V score that thin, but it takes some doing. Using a twin linear knife type machine. In quantity this seems like a perfect job for laser, though.

Asys again, same as their laser markers from your other question. I've had good service from their bottom routers. They are called the Divisio range now.

I've done more if this that you can possibly imagine. I've designed 100 or more router fixture plates. It's not always easy that's for sure. We use a Cencorp router. It does O.K. but definately a little tricky to get nice cuts in the flex only ar
