It's unusual to use a horseshoe shaped pad for a 0805. Commonly when people want to reduce the paste volume to reduce solder balling, they print a "home plate" aperature. We print paste 1:1 with the pad. IPC-7351 LP Wizard is the library mainten

Potential impacts of using expired solder paste are [University of Bolton]: * Changed paste rheology. Result: poor print quality * Loss of solvents. Result: reduced flux activity * Changed flux formulation. Result: More difficult to clean flux residu

Sirs, What are the issues involved when a stencil printer is used for printing solder paste and adhesive? UV-curing of adhesive appears to help reduce slump and spread by forming a tough skin on the adhesive blob deposited on the PCB. Is th

We have tried other stencils with different size openings but this company will not allow us time or money to run any experiments to define stencil criteria and printer settings, its just run, run, run. They really dont care about post reflow yields.

We use water soluble solder paste. When it gets a little dried out, can we add something to rejuvenate it? Liquid flux? We do not place components, just print and reflow the solderpaste so solderballs, spattering, and other issues like those are of

Hi all, Recently I had problem with printing the lead free solder paste, almost every board has bridging especially on the fine pitch locations. Anyway this problem never happens when we use leaded solder paste. So I would like to ask if there are a

Hi everybody. I'm new at SMT soldering. I'm using a stencil to print solder paste on PCB. and my board has 0402 components that it make assembling process long so I can't complete a set of board in a day and I have to continue in the next day. what

How far from apertures is the label supposed to go? I'd say 1 inch is plenty. 3/4 inch might be plenty also. Do you have the ability to measure paste height? I'd say place the label on one board and print two. Is there an appreciable differenc
