Durastone pallets, we use lots of precision ones for selective wave soldering. An utter nightmare to machine - hideously fibrous. We use http://www.globaldatum.com/ for ours.

Low end selective laser soldering systems are limited to what types of soldering can be performed. I have read through the previous comments and find that most have commented on earlier technologies (which do not offer the features today's system do)

Hello experts, Here is my problem: I have a board that has smt parts on one side and TH parts on the other. We designed special pallet for wave, but the pallet itself is 15mm thick, so we are still seeing some defects. Have any of you tried to find

Lead free selective solder

You will need to preheat the boards for a lead free selective solder process. A preheat module is critical for any wave or selective solder process, if you don't get the board preheated properly the solder is going to resist flowing to the top of the

Dave, thanx for your input. Its really helps. Just need some clarifications on : 1) Consider evaluating chimney versus programmable / conveyored machines separately. Question: is there any disadvantages of the programmble/conveyored vs chimney ?

Sorry for being unclear. Question: is there any disadvantages of the programmble/conveyored vs chimney ? Answer: No, not really. They are just machines that operate differently to do the same job, in most cases. Question: whatdo you mean by GT100?

Hello Lou, I agree with John S. There is no substitute for first hand experience. I recently evaluated these machines among others for my company. I selected Mirtec based on ease of programming, inspection performance and Gage R&R testing. We

Steve, I agree, you should expect to have better results from double sided reflow. It is more difficult to dial in a wave solder process for SMT components than a reflow oven. Besides that - adhesive is just no fun to work with.
