Hi, colleagues! We only start using pb-free tehnology Our wave have foam fluxer What kind of flux would be best if we will use Sn100 solderbar What is your experience Best regards Peter

Bruce, Does the thicker barrel plating for "RoHS-Rated" PCBs alleviate some of the copper dissolution that one might experience from SAC305? Also, for those SN100c experts out there, is Sn100c less likely to dissolve copper?

Has anyone heard of this? I was told that this would help SN100 in the wave solder by making it flow better at a lower temperature? Thanks James

Hi, I have heard that some have added small amounts phosphorus to SAC alloy in wave soldering and this way decreased drossing. Does anyone experienced this with SN100C? Regards, Juha

Be sure to peel the potatoes. I saw a guy use a potato to purify gold on the TV show Rough Science. Seriously though I would think SAC305 to SN100C wouldn't be as bad as eutectic to leadfree.

We have had expierience to convert our wave solder machine EPK1(1995g)with cast iron solder pot for lead free SN100.It runs about year and half now without problem.

I wanted to hear from users of the SN100C alloy to find out what they think is positive and negative about this lead free alloy. Thanks, Keith

What I know for SN100 - it is designed for selective sodering. I beleave it is more expensive, compared to other alloys. Emil

Loco: Your post seems to be pasted from a Alpha Metals SACX0807 application sheet. We don't understand the relationship between your SACX0807 and Hoss67 SN100C. They're different alloys.

Indeed Dave, But I can't image the extra .5% silver that alpha adds to sn100c will make a huge impact on the difference between the behaviour of the 2 alloys, especially considering SAC gets exactly the same recommendation.
