| | With current soldering of stranded wires to pcb assy's the wire tends to be very brittle and can break with very little movement of the wire. We use a low residue cored wire. Anybody with advice or who has seen a similar problem/knows how to over

| I have a problem with measling on our PCB's. We saw it on our FR4 PCB's at final assembly yesterday. Is this a defect from the board vendor or something we did in our assembly process when building the PCA's (thru hole). Could the wave solder ma

|John, Why do not you consider the Philips Powerline concept ? The Powerline consists of the combination of FCM and ACM. These 2 machines represent the best in class in SMD placement. The FCM can accomodate 96 8 mm tapefeeders, while the ACM can ac

Upinder, Using IPA does not cause the residue, it simply exposes it. Given that all fluxes leave reisdues, it follows that these MUST be benign - but how do you know, and how do you control it. You are using flux to remove oxides and give you a go

Dave, The first step would be to learn to accept the residue. IPC class 2 has no problem with it. If that is not possible, I am not sure why a no clean is necessary- but I will take your work for it. Alcohols will dry out the residue, and turn it

Steve: I thought Kyzen products were "additives" to either aqueous or semiaqueous inline or batch machine cleaning processes. I'm trying to clean the no-clean residue from a few components that can not bear to see water. Can you use Kyzen products

| Anyone know of someone who can convert mylar top layer board data to Gerber data? We have some old designs that all other data is now lost. | Jerry: You could tape the mylars to a digitizer pad and enter the layout into your PCB layout program o
