Yes, it does look like a typical crack due to mechanical overloading (bending) of teh component. Usually because of the board flexing Vlad

MPAG3 is capable to detect bend pin in up and down form... but i advice to read both machine specs and compare base on your production need for a wise and best machine selection.

Interesting enough, it did turn out to be alignment, maybe the machine is getting bend & twisted just like people do when they get old....... or maybe I should say as the beam gets less intense with old age the sensor needs to be readjusted to pick u

Hi Dave, Thank you for your inputs as they were good suggestions. I however let out one important detail and that this is IMS material and not glass reinforced so I think that there is more bending going on during processing than warping and twistin

Hello colleagues, I have a very long flex assembly that I run on a SMT carrier by bending assembly in the middle. This crates a curve after reflow, which I want to get rid if. Any ideas.

so you bend it to go in? Can you not let it lay flat? We run flex on carriers, but nothing that large. We also run 48inch long boards, but they are aluminum.
