Thanks, I am working on to prevent solder bridging. Tried fine tuning reflow profile, solder printing looks fine. Any further ideas??

We are having solder bridges on a fine pitch QFP and was wondering whether printing speed directly affects the bridging and is there a typical formula to work out print speed?

Doesn't IPC specify bridges are only unacceptable when uncommon, therefore if the leads were connected via trace wouldn't this classify them as common therefore acceptable? Would it be safe to say, at least from a electrical stand point its acceptab

I mean...there are a ton of possibilities for bridging on selective solder before you ever get to alloy purity. Are the bridges happening consistently in the same spot? Are the leads too long? Can you modify the approach/exit/peel off to address? Wh

Well noted - and makes sense. Though 'technically acceptable' from an electrical/functional stand-point, unless it was called out within documentation/discussed with the customer, it should still be looked at as a defect, since otherwise its very amb

0.66 area aspect ratio...so for example...if the device is 0.5mm pitch QFP, the pcb pad may be 12 thou wide..make the aperture 9 to 10 thou wide...and reduce it's length by 10 % overall compared to the pcb pad.... Depending on device pitch, select ap

Have any experience that Sn/Pb plated integrated circuit products will appear some rainbowbridge-like substance after exposing at conditions of 121degC, 100%RH and 15psi for 48hours or above? The rainbow bridge substance was analyzed by EDAX and fou

Hi Folks: We've been having bridging problems on our fine-pitch QFP's, despite thorough inspection of paste height, volume, and placement accuracies....profiles look good also. The bridging is happening after coming out of reflow...one last thing t
