Die Removal Equipment

I am looking for a piece of equipement that can safely remove silicon die(200mil by 200mils) from a LTCC board. My present method involves a dental drill which often goes through the dielectric layers and causes scrap.

I would shy away from a Dremel. They are great for a hobby, but produce too much spin off at the tip to be reliable. A micro-drill is the appropriate tool. The cheap way out would be tweezers scissors. That is if you can get under the trace.

Hi, Don't know if some holes can be drilled to yur machine table, if so, yu can make the support with at least 2 pin and plug into the table, better to use aluminium support, easier to CNC. Hope this help

I have used magnetic supports for some time on our printers and have never had any issue with them. They are in the machine 24/7. The best support would be a solid base screwed in and with vacuum, but if you don't want to drill then use the magnetic

We got a pair and installed them with little trouble. One hole to drill and tap per side. Activates the e-stop but no message on the HMI.

We use itty bitty drill bits in these cases. You can get one from your PCB supplier. Be careful they break easy. Russ

Can someone explain why there is yellowish spot at the area the metal is stressed(drilled,bend area)?How the supplier resolve this problem?
