That's what we do also. It's the "print, dispense" sequence that's peculiar, but that's what you need to do if you are going to eliminate the glue cure cycle.

When designing high performance circuit boards are there methods that can be used to improve thermal conductivity without using heat sinks? Can boards be designed in a way that reduces or eliminates the need for sinks?

Looking for any insight into whether the use of local fiducials will help or eliminate component recognition issues.

We find no solder balls after washing our boards. It works GREAT!!! ;-) Probably more to the point, look at "Circuits Assembly" 7/01, p 40, "Eliminating Solder Beads In No-Clean PCBs". "Solder mask type & composition are the greatest contributor t

dear dave : Thank you for help , but could you tell me if any of the standard references such IPC information could be found on the internet? & where could they be found? regards Hany NB. Sorry I have no change for the 2Cents & I promise to send

Interesting point Mark. We prefer solder mask between pads to reduce bridging. How does removing solder mask between pads eliminate solder balling? Thanks Dave F

Is anyone out there having problems with noise in analog circuits caused by the residue that no-clean solder paste leaves after reflow? If so do you have any suggestions on how to eliminate the problem??

It is also possible to use standoffs to provide the board spacing. There are permanent types and washaway types. This eliminates the need for special prepping of components. The operator slides the bead over the lead prior to installation. I have

Mike, Three Words: DON'T DO IT!! Been there. It is a nightmare to work on boards without legends. Have the designers look elsewhere for the nickel they want to save. Wendy
