China is way behind the technology curve and will be for some time. They're still soaking up all of the through hole and 10 year old chipshooters they can get their hands on. China is the latest flavor of the month for cheap labor just like Mexico wa

We have an assembly that requires a number of high density connectors to be placed after SMD. The process will not allow a normal wave solder setup due to the population of SMD comps. We cannot use a selective solder pallet due to profiles. We are

Hi Rob, We use the most advanced equipments in front end, but the back end we always use manual assembly, including display, LCD, casing. It's all because we should balance the cost & efficiency. I think if you are the boss, you will also do thing

Dear SM Rookies, Another acceptable test method is visual inspection. IPC-A-610 details what to look for with different contaminants, providing magnified pictures of the possible visual residues. With an existing cleaning process, magnification

OK, I am really happy with the robustness of my CSM84. I wonder how hard it would be to hack up one of these 3-phase machines to run off single-phase power? Mostly, it just feeds a big DC supply for the X-Y servos. 2 heads with ANE should be just FI

250-260ish seems a little on the high side ? Depending on the board density and components 230-245 should suffice. Again time above is usually preferred between 30-90secs but again it really depends on the PCB Dave

I have experience cleaning NC for military boards. The reason for cleaning the NC is due to conformal coating requirements. Zestron Vigon A200 and Atron AC 100, as well as Petroferm Hydrex DX have both been effective at cleaning Alpha UP78 NC paste.
