Yeah, we use the Mole also for setting up a new build but I was wondering about a quick validation. Thanks for your input.

Target those specific parts/leads with a thermal-couple and a mole and try to get the peak reflow temps up to 225 C. It's not a cure but it will improve the apperance of the solder joints.

Different points on the board couple have different thermal masses. Look here: http://www.ecd.com/portals/5/products/vmole/V-MOLE-Verify-3-Thermocouple.pdf

It looks like you got all the paste to a liquidus stage and ten probably to a gas stage, so it is just a matter of running the mole several times.

Wavemaster Larry must be new to the forum. What a nut! Sounds like a dude who needs to get his internet access taken away. In Riyadh, Larry, you'd get your arms sawed off for those comments! Grant is right. Hardware-wise, all thermal profilers

John: Sorry I'm tardy getting back to you on this Heat capacity = [applied voltage in volts*applied current in amps*(time ending in seconds - time start in seconds)]/(K ending - K start) The units of heat capacity are joules per mole-degree when

Slim KIC would be my choice out of these two vendors. I have worked with several different makes and models and I would say DataPaq was my favorite. But it all depends on your needs and budget. They can all get the job done. Good luck with your

The bottom side is going into reflow somewhare near melting point of solder. Reduce bottom side temprature. Get a good mole so ramp and soak tempratures can be checked on bolth sides of the PCB. The object is to keep bottom side parts from approching

The SuperMole Gold uses a proprietary rechargeable Ni-MH battery design and while it's a nice unit and I'd love to have one now, I wouldn't want to have to replace the battery. In other words, it's going to cost you. FTR, the last one I used was rou
