Good morning James, It depends on MSD class. Refer to J-STD-033. When you open dry bag shelf life starts. You have to mount all devices before maximum allowable shelf life time exceeds. Storing in dry cabinet capable maintaining RH

We have to mount our SMD devices 0.1 to 0.4 mm off the pcb PCb substrate to compensate for thermal stressing in a Space enviroment. Has any one any ideas or contacts for dissolvable pads. this only applies to leadless components Robert, Try

One very important consideration in your situation is to determine if you have moisture sensitive components on these boards. If you have any device classified level 3 or higher then you have a very high level of risk associated with moisture sensit

Greetings, We are discussing what should and what should not be baked and vacuum packed. Should we just concentrate on the fine pitch packages and the bga's? What about those components which come on blister tape, should they get baked and r

Conductive Paste for Microwave Applications.

Has anyone know of a low viscosity conductive paste/liquid that has good thermal conductivity? My aim is to get better consistency in the electrical and thermal conductivity between the mounting flange of Microwave power devices and anodised carrier

We have developed a new process for removing moisture from surface mount devices. We have one site where PCB laminate drying has been reduced to 1.5 hours. A standard oven took 4 hours to do the job. I am looking for a firm who does large scale

While trying to sell me a low temperature baking system for SMDs the salesman mentioned that the 125C for 24hr bake had been known to cause co-planarity defects. I thought I'd ask some experts. Any help guys? Gerry: I imagine there could be s

Thanks for the advice. We are experiencing only limited success with SMT on the drag. Problems are indeed bridging and misses on the smaller discretes. Works well on PTH as long as the pitch is not too tight. I'll have to justify a new machine. Rega
