| | I agree with Michael, scoring works great. interesting feedback. | The change to scoring has saved countless hours of trimming tabs, and is much easier on the wrist. As mine in scoring, your experience in a routed, drilled web tab breakaway is

What we did was design or panels with routed out edges held on by tabs. This was very effective. All we use is a pair of pneumatic scissors to cut off the tabs. We are using from single-to 13 layer PCB's and we have had no problems with delamination

We make pcb depaneling equipment and many of our customers do a combination of tab routed panels with pre-score in order to speed up the singulation process. If you like, I can send you a picture of an example. Regards Klaus Heimann FKN Systek Tel.

I'm also in the "Don't score it" camp. Routed breakaways are much better. If your wave solder process has decent control on the wave height, you shouldn't worry about flooding the boards. The fine pitch consideration for panelizing - Since you norm

As R&D project leader I have worked at FICO on this issue the last years. Maybe you have found the info you are looking for but for laser cutting are more companies involved than the three you found, the experience I have with laser cutting for PCB p

What software are people using to compute route and retain tabs on panels? I produce some complicated (150 board, 80+ different design) panels, and I haven't found a good way to programmatically compute where to place the tabs. Thanks.

We are a small/medium contract manufacturer and like most we do our best to ensure that PCB's we process are panelised to ensure efficient throughput and good quality results. Sometimes however we are stuck with free issue PCB panels supplied by som

Currently we are having an issue with our current PCB routing cutters in 0.125". It has come to our attention that the vendor has set the mean diameter to be .1235" +/-.001". As such, we recieve a number of cutters in the .1225 realm. This has caused

| I have a PCMCIA type pcb with an 0603 resistor situated exactly half way along the longest edge the device is 2mm form the edge of the pcb. I have experienced incidences of the device fracturing after breakout (hand operation) (pcbs are routed) Co

There are many rules, but balance is the key. It all depends on your processes, type of equipment you plan to run the panel through, as well as the type of components going onto the board. If your single up circuit has 6 thru-hole caps, 5 connector
